Hot Ham & Cheese

After eating sandwiches all week, it’s nice to have something warm for lunch when the weekend rolls around. These are quick and easy, and the cheese actually gets a little fried on the bottom… and I don’t know about you but fried+cheese, mmmm, need I say more?
I promise you I can cook without using canned biscuits, but these are just too good not to share.
1 can crescent rolls
Deli ham (thinly sliced)
Sliced swiss cheese (we love Emmenthauler but anything is fine)
Dijonnaise (or just mustard) optional
Just roll the crescent roll dough out into one big square and smooth the seams together with you fingers. Brush on the mustard, then layer with the ham slices and cheese. Roll up into a long tube shaped roll and slice 1 inch rolls and place them on a cookie sheet. They resemble cinnamon rolls.
Cook according to the crescent package directions. 350 for about 10 minutes. Just keep an eye on the dough and make sure it’s starting to turn golden before taking them out.
These are a nice change from a plain ham sandwich and they seem a little special because they are cooked, even if it is from a can.
